Over 16 years of experience and practice in conflict resolution, mainly in the interethnic field in partnerships projects or directly coordinated, over 5 working years’ experience in international projects implementation teams of Technical Assistance, participation at several international conferences where she sustained presentations of some projects in the promotion of mediation field and the development of the mediation using systems in Romania, Coordinator of the team that realized the Occupational Standard of the Mediator and of the mediators team who participated at the drafting of the first legislative proposals in the mediation domain. Over 15 years of experience in Public Administration: Secretary of State - General Director – National Institute of Administration, Subprefect Bucharest, General Counselor (General Council of Bucharest Municipality), Deputy District 6, Local Counselor District 6.

Over 12 years’ experience as Trainer and over 7 years as Consultant (sustainable development, public administration, mediation).
 
 
 

SILVIU ERUŞENCU  – Main Trainer

Engineer in the Managerial and Technological Engineering Field (Polytechnic University of Bucharest), postgraduate courses in Psycho-pedagogy (University of Bucharest), postgraduate courses in peace studies (European Peace Study University, Austria), training and specialization in Mediation (Canadian International Institute for Applied Negotiation), specialization in intervention and resolution of ethnic conflicts (College of Arts and Sciences Louisville University, USA), multiple domestic and foreign participation in events concerning negotiation and conflict intervention, specializing in social communication and interethnic relations (Romanian Academy), Authorized Mediator by the Mediation Council.

As a police officer inside The Research and Crime Prevention Institute, he coordinated for 10 years the Police’s activities of applying the Strategy of improving the Roma people situation.

He elaborated and participated to the implementation of several projects in partnership with other organizations in the field of non-violent intervention regarding interethnic conflicts, as well as in the mediation domain and the development of mediation using systems in Romania.

As a specialist, he was part of the team that created the Mediator’s Occupational Standard and also member of the group of mediators that participated at the drafting of the first legislative proposals in the mediation domain.


 

Projects

The projects undertaken by FDC were oriented to identifying opportunities for application of mediation in the Romanian context, but also related to the environmental protection field.

Mediators

Our team of mediators has 11 years of experience in the application of alternative dispute resolution methods, including mediation, both within group disputes and interpersonal ones. The partnership between FDC and the General Inspectorate of Romanian Police had provided to FDC's team, access to a rich and diverse case law.
